Muse have the London Olympics — and their tie-in anthem “Survival” — out of the way, and now it’s on to the official second single from upcoming album The 2nd Law (out October 1), “Madness”. Like the recently premiered “Unsustainable”, this new offering displays the UK band’s electronic leanings. (Not surprising, since they’ve cited in-demand dubstep wiz Skrillex as an influence for their sixth album.)

“I tried so hard to let you go, but some kind of madness is swallowing me whole,” frontman Matthew Bellamy croons atop a thick, synthy bassline. And dare we say it, he sound like a cross between Prince and Freddie Mercury! Give the song a listen above, and decide if it has you enticed for The 2nd Law.
