Britney Spears & Demi Lovato Have The X Factor On ‘TV Guide’ Cover
While Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid look all business on TV Guide‘s new cover, The X Factor‘s newest crop of judges — Britney Spears and birthday girl Demi Lovato — are all smiles. In the accompanying cover story, Simon explains his decision for axing last year’s judge Paula Abdul (“I adore her…but it just felt like that relationship was too steeped in American Idol history.”), Britney talks about the reason she signed up for the show (her and Simon shared a makeup artist — you know, nothing to do with the money she was offered) and Demi reveals that it’s hard being the youngest on the panel.
“I was nervous at first because it’s not like I have the experience that L.A., Simon and Britney have,” Lovato tells the publication. “But I know how hard people have to work to get to where they want to be, and I can spot somebody who has talent and who’s memorable and could be a pop star.”
That’s the spirit, girl. Spears then chimes in: “She toughens me up! Sometimes I listen to you and I’m like, ‘Oh, God, I’ve got to be a little stronger.'” Catch the full interview here.
