Brandy Shares Her “Wildest Dreams”: Listen
Ahead of the release of Brandy‘s new album Two Eleven (out October 16), Rolling Stone got an early listen to the anticipated LP, calling it “Brandy at her most realized: romantically shaky, vocally sharp and musically sound.”
The title Two Eleven is a nod only to Brandy’s February 11 birthday, but the day of her mentor Whitney Houston‘s death. The LP, which is still being worked on, will have 15 tracks, including the Frank Ocean-penned “Scared Of Beautiful” (which will become a duet with Ocean, pending the addition of his vocals).
Another track off the record is the mid-tempo love tune “Wildest Dreams,” which will act as the album’s second single. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think somebody could care about me,” sings the 33-year-old on a song that could have come straight from the mid-90s.
