Justin Bieber will set cartoon hearts aflutter in Springfield when he gets animated for a cameo on The Simpsons. The “As Long As You Love Me” crooner tweeted yesterday that he’d wrapped up doing vocals for his guest stint: “just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy.” The tweet was apparently deleted, but Entertainment Weekly got the full scoop from Simpsons executive producer Al Jean.

“He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won’t admit him. Draw your own conclusions,” Jean told the publication. “It’s a cameo, but all of his fans should watch every minute of the show, before and after he’s on.”

The Simpsons‘ 24th season begins airing on September 30 on Fox, but you’ll have to wait until 2013 to catch the Bieb on the show. EW did confirm that the episode is titled “The Fabulous Baker Boy”.

Let’s see if JB finds a way to trump Lady Gaga and her 18 outfits, all of which appeared on The Simpsons back in May.
