When it comes to Carly Rae Jepsen and duets, naturally our minds go to her current Top 10 single/Owl City collab, “Good Time”. But another high-profile pair-up will arrive this month, courtesy of Jepsen’s LP Kiss (out September 18) — and of course we’re talking about the Justin Bieber-featuring “Beautiful”.

Biebz and his manager Scooter Braun were instrumental in bring Canadian Carly to the attention of US music buyers, as they signed her to their Schoolboy Records label earlier this year. So it seems only natural that a JB collaboration would occur. Head below to hear a preview of what the two of them came up with.

Jepsen skips the disco pop of “Call Me Maybe” and synthy dance aesthetic of “Good Time” here for a mid-tempo guitar vibe that shuffles along quite nicely.

It’s too early to give a full-on review of the track, given that this is only a tease. But it’s got our toes tapping, and we’re already having visions of “Beautiful” being another big smash for the 26-year-old.
