Adele’s ’21’ Crosses 10 Million Sales Mark In US

That Adele reign just won’t end! Following a list of professional achievements in recent years that would take at least an hour or two to rattle off, pop’s latest Bond girl has another accolade to slap on her resume: 10 million copies sold of her sophomore LP 21.  Sure, it took 92 weeks for the album to move that many units, but let’s all doff our caps to the London singer — after all, who the hell is selling that many records these days, anyway?

Billboard‘s chart numbers cruncher Keith Caulfield reports that the last album to sell as many copies in a shorter span of time was *NSYNC‘s No Strings Attached (it hit 10 million in its 43rd week, in January 2001). That tells us two things: in the age of music piracy, Adele is an unstoppable force who has an extremely long career ahead of her (duh), and it’s been far too long since we’ve watched the video for *NSYNC’s “It’s Gonna Be Me.” Let’s remedy the latter below, boy band fanatics!
