Did You Hear?

:: Trey Parker and Matt Stone — creators of The Book Of Mormon — floated out Justin Bieber‘s name as the dream lead for their musical’s eventual film adaptation. The duo has previously made fun of Bieber in their animated series South Park. It’s also worth noting that it’s usually impossible to tell when they are joking. [Moviefone]

:: George Michael on Sunday (Sep. 9) became the first international pop star to perform at Paris’ Opera Garnier. He was there for his Symphonica tour to support a French AIDS charity. [AP]

:: A man is suing Muse for copyright infringement, claiming their “Exogenesis I, II, and III” tracks from 2009’s The Resistance were his idea. Charles Bolfrass says he sent the band an idea about a space rock opera of the same name in 2005, which they rejected. He’s asking for $3.5 million in damages. [WENN]

:: The Killers singer Brandon Flowers is reportedly “in agony” after shoulder surgery for a pinched nerve made matters worse. Flowers said he can’t lift his kids or even fist-pump, which sounds silly but is actually pretty vital for a rock star. [Contact Music]

:: Lady Antebellum are releasing a Christmas album, and they worked harder on this one than on their three LPs. Why? Because “these things live out long past some of your other records because every season it comes back.” Good, we could use some new yuletide tunes to throw into the mix. [Huffington Post]
