Demi Lovato Calls Simon Cowell An A**hole On ‘Conan’: Watch
Demi Lovato is made of glass, paper and profanity in this hilarious clip from last night’s (September 17) episode of Conan, in which she sat down with Simon Cowell (and Conan O’Brien, obviously) to talk about the dynamic at the judges’ table on The X Factor. It’s no surprise to hear that Cowell butts heads with everyone — he describes Lovato as “annoying” — but she proves herself to be surprisingly steely when she retorts, “Well, you can be a bit of an asshole.”
Our only quibble? “A bit of an asshole” might be too generous. For his part, Cowell takes it in stride. “I know!” he says. “I’m used to it!”
O’Brien eventually moves on to meatier subjects: Cowell’s ongoing relationship with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest. Cowell denies that the two ever had much of a bromance but admits that they talk occasionally, and Lovato gets in a few more good jabs, branding herself as an impressive sparring partner for Cowell. Good luck resisting the charm of their banter.
