Mike Tompkins Teams Up With ‘Pitch Perfect’ Cast To Cover Nicki Minaj’s “Starships”
Last month, YouTube sensation and singer-songwriter Mike Tompkins invited amateur singers and dancers to put their spin on Nicki Minaj‘s “Starships” for a chance to be included in a mash-up a cappella version of the track with the actors from Pitch Perfect. And after a hefty volume of entries, Tompkins — along with Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Adam DeVine and the rest of the cast — joins forces with YouTube’s finest beatboxers, dancers and voices to give us a version of “Starships” that could easily rival Unique’s version at nationals on Glee last season.
