With Taylor Swift‘s fourth studio album Red due out on October 22, the pop-country songwriter is ramping up her promotional efforts. This morning (September 24) on Good Morning America, Swift previewed one of the new tracks from the LP titled “Begin Again,” and announced that it will be for sale on iTunes tonight at midnight.

“It’s actually a song about when you’ve gotten through a really bad relationship and you finally dust yourself off and go on that first date after a horrible break-up, and the vulnerability that goes along with all of that,” she explained on GMA. Head below for more details on Taylor’s new track.

Based on the 30-second preview, the poignant, twangy “Begin Again” sounds like a return to form for Swift after her lead Red single, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” was notably light on country influence.

“I think it’s strange that you think I’m funny because he never did,” she sings in the new song. “I’ve been spending the last eight months thinking all it ever does is break and burn and end/ but on a Wednesday in a cafe I watched it begin again.”

Despite reports that Red would mark a departure for Swift in terms of sonic experimentation, “Begin Again” is very much in her wheelhouse. Preview the new track above.
