Green Day Wants You To “Stay The Night”: Watch

Green Day‘s ¡Uno! comes out Tuesday (September 25) and perhaps to steer the focus back on that album and off singer Billie Joe Armstrong’s struggle with substance abuse, the band has premiered the video for “Stay The Night,” which you can watch up top.

The clip appears to have been shot in the same warehouse space as the “Nuclear Family” video, and likewise is a bare-bones clip finding the guys charging through the song. “Stay The Night” features one of Green Day’s cleanest, most radio-friendly choruses yet, but the line “I’ve got an impulse so repulsive that it burns” takes on a much darker meaning in light of Billie Joe’s recent meltdown and substance abuse problems.
