:: In light of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s rehab stint, Green Day canceled their October 27 headlining gig at New Orleans’ Voodoo Festival. Bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool spoke to the BBC about Armstrong’s rehab and the stresses of releasing three albums in five months. “We definitely just jumped off a moving train,” said Dirnt of the process, adding that he hasn’t seen Billie Joe in weeks.
