Leona Lewis’ ‘Glassheart’ Leaks: Hear The Dr. Luke-Produced “Lovebirds”

There’s no US release date on the books yet for Leona Lewis‘ upcoming third studio album Glassheart, which is a shame, since it’s one of the stronger pop offerings this year — but the record has leaked online today prior to its October 15 release in the UK, giving fans an early taste of the new LP. The title track, “Glassheart,” is still exceptional (and highly single-worthy), but there are several other highlights on the dance-inflected, moody album as well, like the Bonnie McKee-penned “Un Love Me” and the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced uptempo “Shake You Up.” The real standout, though, might be the soaring “Lovebirds.” Hear it after the jump.

“Lovebirds” leaked earlier this year in a low-quality snippet, but it’s stronger in the context of the album. Penned by Dr. Luke, Ammo and McKee with retooled production from January’s leak, the song has the same piano-driven power-ballad quality of Lewis’ hit single “Better In Time,” with stomping drums and chill-inducing vocals on the chorus. Listen to the new song below.
