The hour-long, star-studded TV special We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston taped live at the Nokia Theater on October 11. And while the show won’t air on CBS until November 13 (the same day the compilation I Will Always Love You – The Best of Whitney Houston will be released), footage of Usher‘s tribute to the legend popped up online. The above video doesn’t give the best view of Usher performing Houston‘s version of The Four Tops‘ “I Believe In You And Me” — but the touching tribute’s audio is clear.

Whitney recorded her Grammy-nominated cover of the song in 1996 for the soundtrack to The Preacher’s Wife, which she also starred in. In addition to Usher, last week’s tribute featured performances from Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams and Cece Winans. Britney Spears also took part in the special, though only as a presenter.
