Taylor Swift‘s much-anticipated fourth studio album Red has leaked in full, and the song many fans were most eager to hear is her duet with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, “Everything Has Changed.” As expected, the track is a spare, elegant guitar-driven ballad with sweet, lovely vocals from Swift, anchored by emotional lyrics and light harmonies from Sheeran. It sounds as much like a live recording of an acoustic jam session as it does like a studio cut, which provides a nice contrast to the highly produced, slick sound of much of Red.
“All I know is you held the door / You’ll be mine and I’ll be yours / All I know since yesterday is / Everything has changed,” the pair sing together on the chorus. It’s certain to please fans of both artists, and doesn’t disappoint on the promise of their precocious songwriting talents. Listen to “Everything Has Changed” below.
