Bruno Mars Tackles “Haters” & Impersonates Every Singer Ever For “Pandora” On ‘SNL’

Bruno Mars both hosted and performed during Saturday Night Live last night (October 21), where he delivered a pair of standout performances — the first, of his latest single “Locked Out of Heaven”  and the second, debuting a new song, the evocative ballad “Young Wild Girls.” But when he wasn’t singing his own tunes, he was still delivering at a fairly impressive caliber, with skits that showed off comedic stylings we didn’t know he had.

One favorite, “Haters,” took the style of a trashy daytime talk show; Mars played a 17-year-old girl under the mistaken impression that the world envies her because “I’m young and I got a debit card and I know where the party at.” Not only did Mars inhabit the role seamlessly, but he looked pretty good in a varsity jacket and pink skirt, too. See the other best skit, “Pandora,” after the jump.

Another standout, “Pandora,” made effective use of Mars’ vocal talents and an impressive gift for impersonation. Mars played an intern at the Pandora headquarters forced to impersonate a string of artists including Green Day, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry during a power outage. Watch it below.
