We’ve gotten used to party-friendly, substance-light jams from Far East Movement, but their video for “Little Bird” (featuring Feist) shares a much grittier and more grounded side to the story. In it, FEM’s Kev Nish takes the lead as a man who girlfriend is quickly unraveling as a prescription pills addict.
“I had a dream, baby, you could get high off me,” Kev raps on the track, as he does some serious soul-searching trying to help his out-of-control girl. It’s still an upbeat song, but with a more melancholy side effect than “Live My Life” or “Like A G6.” “Little Bird” shows that sometimes getting high like a G6 just ends in a plummet back down to Earth.
