::  Simon Cowell‘s The X Factor has been renewed for a third season to air on Fox in 2013. “I am so proud of the show and the team who have made it this season,” Cowell said. That team now includes hosts Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez, who will debut on the November 1 episode. [Billboard]

:: Jay-Z and Beyonce were denied a petition to trademark their daughter’s name, Blue Ivy, because a Boston firm has been going by the name Blue Ivy Events since 2009. Bey wanted the trademark for a line of children’s clothing. [E!]

:: In other baby news, people are already shading Adele and her baby boy on Twitter, because people are terrible. A sample of the fare: “Adele was pregnant? I thought she was fat.” [Jezebel]
