Kendrick Lamar Performs “Swimming Pools (Drank)” On ‘Conan’: Watch
Rapper Kendrick Lamar has been doing the promotional rounds in support of his major-label debut good kid, m.A.A.d city, and last night (October 23) he paid a visit to Conan O’Brien on his titular talk show to turn out a live rendition of lead single “Swimming Pools (Drank).”
Given that Lamar’s debut televised performance was just earlier this month on Jimmy Fallon‘s Late Night, he looks pretty comfortable performing in front of a high-stakes crowd, spitting rhyme with his usual dexterity. Minimalist production — it was just the rapper on stage in a hoodie, backed by a DJ, with no other visual clutter — put the spotlight squarely on Lamar, which is probably exactly where it belongs.
