Fun. have gone from old-timey and rural in their “Some Nights” video to a night on the town in New York City for their new “Carry On” video. Directed by Anthony Mandler, who also helmed that Civil War-themed video, this clip follows the guys around the Big Apple as they perform at Terminal 5, dine at the Grand Central Oyster Bar, run through the streets and serenade the masses at a couple bars.
Whereas their breakout video for “We Are Young” was joyous and surreal, this one feels like a peek at life on tour with the band. The uplifting, mid-tempo anthem finds singer Nate Ruess sometimes channeling Freddie Mercury, and the Queen influence is also apparent on Jack Antonoff‘s guitar solo.
