The always-suave Ne-Yo has teamed up with Fabolous and Diddy for “Should Be You,” an ultra-smooth cut from the deluxe edition of the singer’s forthcoming R.E.D. (out November 6). The song finds the three guys moping about that vexing problem of going to bed with one woman while having your heart set on another. Hear “Should Be You” after the jump.

Salaam Remi produced the track, which channels the clean, laid-back gloss of pre-Weeknd, pre-EDM R&B. Verses from Fab at the top and Diddy at the back bookend the song, and while Diddy’s flow has certainly sounded better, his verse is surprisingly introspective. Ne-Yo’s LP also features guest spots from Wiz Khalifa, Calvin Harris and — wait for it — Tim McGraw.
