Kendrick Lamar’s “The Jig Is Up (Dump’n)”: Download The New Track

Kendrick Lamar has released his second new song since dropping his street life epic good kid, m.A.A.d city just last week, making us think this kid never leaves the studio. Like with “The Heart Pt. 3,” K-Dot has a chip on his shoulder here, taking on everyone who thought he’d either “flop” or “go pop” on his major label debut. Obviously, neither was the case, and Lamar closes out the song by saying “Real people want real music / The jig is up.”

Shyne recently called Lamar’s album “traaaaash,” and Lamar made sure to respond to that specific diss as well: “I pray to God this beat is good enough for Shyne / If not, J. Cole your shit is traaash! / But at least my opinion just made everyone laugh.” (The track was produced by J. Cole and Canei Finch.) You can stream the song and grab a free download below.
