Lady Gaga Tweets Old Demo “No Floods” In Hurricane Sandy Support: Listen

Lady Gaga lent her support to the victims of Hurricane Sandy the old-fashioned way: By tweeting out the YouTube link to a leaked demo of a song she wrote when she was 16. “i wrote this song when i was 16. so weird to hear it now because of hurricane. “NO FLOODS” hope this will cheer u up,” she tweeted.

The song has been floating around online for several years, but the lyrics are oddly fitting: “No matter lightning or thunder, buckets of rainwater / You can’t flood this town,” Gaga sings over a simple piano track. Listen to it after the jump.

Gaga, a native New Yorker, appeared to take news of Hurricane Sandy’s devastating effects on the East Coast hard. “Can’t even watch news feed,” she tweeted. But the superstar also committed to help out with relief efforts as soon as she was able:
