Lady Gaga‘s frequent collaborator DJ White Shadow has posted the demo version of Kendrick Lamar‘s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” — which is odd until you realize said demo features Gaga on the hook. That’s right, finally the world can hear some of the results of that much-hyped Lamar-Lady collaboration! Click through to listen.

K-Dot told Complex that the original plan was to have Gaga on the good kid, m.A.A.d. city track: “We had a date, but we had to meet the deadline for the pre-order date. That’s just the business side coming through and messing things up.” Gaga’s presence certainly adds some sultriness to the song, and she sounds more understated than she has recently. It’s a surprisingly good fit. And at least now we know K-Dot’s Urkel-like singing voice on the final cut took center stage out of necessity, not choice.
