Did you know that One Direction played a show at Madison Square Garden in New York City last night (December 4)? If you didn’t, you must not be in the tri-state area, since the screams of thousands of teenage girls were reportedly heard in Delaware.

And while there were many little things to revel in from their concert, the most compulsively rewatchable moment from the evening’s show was probably 1D’s performance of “Little Things” — which featured the stylings of the song’s co-writer/One Direction’s resident “sensitive” BFF Ed Sheeran.

Yes, Sheeran joined the boys of One Direction on stage to perform the song he himself wrote all those years ago, gazing wistfully out a foggy window while scribing the lyrics in ink made from his tears, while Taylor Swift sat somewhere up high in a private box, finally cheer captain, no longer on the bleachers, and Tumblr exploded. The end.

Watch video of their performance up top.
