Ne-Yo has been realizing lots of dreams lately — which we mention because his album is titled R.E.D., which stands for Realizing Every Dream! — and no doubt performing on Saturday Night Live for the first time marks another of those dreams. With Jamie Foxx as host, Ne-Yo took the stage to perform his Siapenned single “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself),” turning out an energetic performance. There were Michael Jackson-esque dance moves! There were effete male backup dancers wearing red pants, who were swapped out halfway through for sexy female dancers, and then they all reunited on stage for a showstopping dance break!

While his vocals were more driven by adlibs and little yelps than spectacular vocal runs, the dancing was on point — and after a lackluster show from Foxx, it delivered a much-needed injection of energy into SNL. Later in the show, he performed his R.E.D. album track “She Is.” Watch “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” up top, then see “She Is” below.
