On Saturday night, the dream team of Lady Gaga and the Rolling Stones did not disappoint audiences during the final concert in the band’s One More Shot tour, a celebration of 50 years together. Fans went gaga when Mother Monster took to the stage and belted “Gimme Shelter” as the boys rocked out at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Always having a flair for the dramatic, a long-haired Gaga, looking like Ziggy Stardust-esque space invader and outfitted in a striped, one-piece jumpsuit, gyrated and twirled about the stage as she held her own with flawless vocals and her mesmerizing stage presence. There’s even a bit of dance off between Mother Monster and Mick. Who won? You can be the judge. But, our money’s always on Mick.
Gaga wasn’t the only icon to make an onstage cameo at the Prudential Center last night. A plethora of rockers including John Mayer and Gary Clark (“Going Down”), the Black Keys (“Who Do You Love”), Mick Taylor (“Midnight Rambler”) and Bruce Springsteen (“Tumbling Dice”), all joined the band during the high-octane concert.
