Nicki Minaj & Adam Levine To Launch Retail Collections: Report

Have you been looking around your home and closet, bemoaning the fact that you don’t have any Harajuku Barb hoodies or a Maroon 5-branded payphone in your living room? Finally, a respite from the agony: Reportedly, Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine are both set to lock down contracts to create two big retail lines — that’s apparel, accessories and housewares — for some kind of big-box superstore. Think Kmart, Walmart or Target.

That’s right: They’re going big in 2013.

Page Six reports that the deals will be announced this week. The fact that the deals are being shopped together is surprising given that Minaj and Levine are on competing shows — American Idol and The Voice, respectively — although the Post points out that Kohl’s lines with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, who were divorced when their retail partnership was announced, have experienced massive success. Minaj and Levine’s collections should launch just before the holidays this year. Start making a list and checking it twice.
