Taylor Swift & Michael J. Fox’s Feud Is Over — We Can All Relax Now

Taylor Swift let fans know she and actor Michael J. Fox had buried the hatchet on Friday (January 18) when the pop star tweeted, “Hey everybody, Michael J. Fox got in touch with me today and we are good. Thank you for having my back.” What started as a Golden Globes punchline on Sunday night (January 13) from co-host Tina Fey warning newly-single Tay to “stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son!” quickly escalated into a “feud”. The actor appeared to agree with Tina when he told Vulture, “[she] writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career … I wouldn’t even know who she was.” (We can’t figure out which was more of a burn to Taylor: calling her out on her blind item-esque lyrics or claiming not to even know of her existence.)

Thankfully, Swift fans can rest easy this weekend knowing no one is throwing shade on music’s country pop sweetheart. MJF, too, can find some peace of mind knowing Taylor will never (ever, ever) write a song about his son, Sam. But…the Red singer might have just found herself the lyrical inspiration for “Mean (Part 2)”.

I love this man even more now.

Not hating or team Swift, but seriously MJF? He might not be into Top 40 music or gossip blogs & all that, but I have an extremely hard time believing he has never heard of Taylor Swift.

For starters, she won Album of the Year at the Grammys. I know not everyone, especially celebs, are interested in that sorta stuff, but she won it against some acts, many believed to have greater albums and did cause a bit of controversy outside of the Top 40 world.

And the VMAs incident. Unless you were living under a rock, everyone, famous or not, knew of that. And with him having younger children, then he was bound to have known of this incident. Countless other things also come to mind that have made headlines with Swift.

I just think he was being a bit deliberate saying that knowing it would make Swift fans outraged or at least draw some talk about Tina’s remark, his response and him a little attention.

I know it’s hard to believe but some people don’t gag themselves with pop culture.
