Is Lady Gaga Headlining An Inaugural Ball For Obama’s Campaign Staff?

Lady Gaga will headline a private inaugural ball for President Obama‘s campaign staff, an unnamed source tells the Associated Press. If true, she’ll be amongst other acts celebrating Barack Obama’s 2012 second term like Beyonce, Usher, Kelly Clarkson and Stevie Wonder.

Still, even if the info is accurate, the Fame Monster is likely to keep mum about this January 22 presidential performance for as long as possible.

Here’s what we know: Last month Lady Gaga met with Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s senior advisor, to discuss the launch of her anti-bullying Born This Way foundation. (“I am deeply moved by the way she has used her story, and her success, to inspire young people, and shine the spotlight on important issues,” Jarrett wrote.)

Plus, while the “Marry the Night” pop star finally brought her Born This Way Ball to North America this month, she isn’t scheduled to perform on January 22.

According to one attendee, Jay-Z headlined Obama’s 2009 staff ball and revised one of his lyrics in celebration: “99 problems, but George Bush ain’t one.” Can we expect a similar dig at Mitt Romney from Mother Monster?
