Ellie Goulding’s “Explosions” Video: Watch The Mostly-Live Clip
First things first: Ellie Goulding has a new video for her single “Explosions”! But don’t get too excited: It’s one of those videos that’s mostly just footage from live performances stitched together with the occasional bit of B-roll, so it’s not exactly high-concept. Do with that what you will.
That said, it’s worth noting that the video does exactly what a video should do: Remind us what a great song “Explosions” is. One of our favorites from Goulding’s 2012 LP Halcyon, the ballad is tremulous and haunting, even if it foregoes most of the pop shimmer that made her a star. Watch the clip up top.
