Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man” Video: Watch The Retro Performance Clip
Bruno Mars is channeling retro swag in the music video for his new single “When I Was Your Man,” from his typically dapper style to the noirish production values of the clip, which is basically just Mars — wearing a bottle green suit and mirrored sunglasses like a total boss — sitting and singing at the piano. Hey — it works.
While he certainly could have gone for something a little more high-concept, the clip’s elegant framing just draws attention to how sweet and simple the song is — one of the standouts from his last LP Unorthodox Jukebox. Watch the clip up top, or don’t bother — just listen to it again on the album. (It’s more or less the same experience.)
