Winter Storm Nemo Threatens Grammy Plans, Justin Bieber’s ‘SNL’ Gig
Winter Storm Nemo, expected to hit the Northeast today (February 8) and Saturday, has already affected plans for people scheduled to attend the Grammys in L.A., as well as Justin Bieber‘s double-duty episode of Saturday Night Live in New York City. The Big Apple is expected to get about 18 to 24 inches of snow, and in anticipation, nearly 3,300 flights for Friday and Saturday have been canceled.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, music industry folks have already had to scrap plans to travel to Los Angeles for the Grammys on Sunday. Also in preparation for Nemo, SNLÂ tweeted that the show will hand out stand-by tickets for Bieber’s forthcoming episode at 11 p.m. tonight, instead of 7 a.m. the day of the show.
Hey everyone! Due to the #BlizzardWarning, we will hand out standby tix for Saturday’s show tomorrow night at 11p! Plan accordingly. #SNL

Last night, in response to Bieber’s tweets from the 30 Rock set, fans fretted over how Nemo could impact their Saturday night.
If we loose power bc o this blizzard and I can’t watch #BieberOnSNL I will flip out

This morning, TODAY even found a few dozen Beliebers already camping outside 30 Rock, Nemo be damned. According to a few, fans started forming a line for stand-by tickets yesterday afternoon, before they heard any warning of the winter storm.
