Turns out that blood and semen sells! Lady Gaga reports that she has sold 30 million bottles of her debut perfume, Fame, which was launched in August 2012 at Macy’s locations nationwide.  Read Gaga’s announcement after the jump.

In the months leading up to Fame’s launch, Lady Gaga’s descriptions of her scent raised eyebrows and expectations. On Twitter, she said that Fame is “designed for women, but a lot of my gay friends wear it.” Revealed ingredients included “crushed heart of tiger orchidea” and “pulverized apricot.” On the Kyle & Jackie O Show, she said,  “You just get the after feeling of sex from the semen, and the blood is sort of primal, and it was taken out of my own blood sample, so it’s a sense of having me on your skin.”

When Gaga isn’t using an icing-smeared restaurant table as her strip club stage, she is readying her third album ARTPOP — “an assault … on your mind, ears, body.”
