Apocalypse "Now"

Paramore just premiered the intense music video for their new single “Now,” off their highly-anticipated self-titled album (their first LP since 2010). The Daniel Cloud Campos-directed work features lead singer Hayley Williams, (looking quite Yolandi Vi$$er-esque), guitarist Taylor York and bassist Jeremy Davis fending off a massacre at the hands of some ruthless, post-apocalyptic riot troops.

Like Christina Aguilera‘s “Your Body” video (trust us, this is the only similarity), this clip depicts fairly grisly violence using bursts of playful color. The cathartic comeback song got a fitting statement video to match up with the hype.

Paramore drops on April 9.

This entire song completely renews my love for paramore. They’re doing a great job, I admire their determination and hard work to move on with the loss of the farros. They’re doing great without them, this video and song is absolutely breathtaking and really means what it says. Weird make up but whatever, still creative as.
