See Lana Del Rey’s “Burning Desire” Music Video — We Mean Jaguar Commercial

It’s been a hot second since we’ve had a new music video from Miss Lana Del Rey, but lest she leave our hearts lonely on this Valentine’s Eve, the deep-voiced siren has delivered a full music video for “Burning Desire.” Unlike her 10-minute short film for “Ride” or her controversial ode to Camelot, “National Anthem,” LDR’s latest offering keeps things simple. After all, the video also has to serve as an extended ad for the Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible

“Burning Desire” opens with Lana taking the stage in a white gown, similar (if not identical) to the one worn by the Born To Die singer at a Jaguar event in September of 2012. The video mixes footage of the sports car with the (allegedly) engaged artist performing, while old footage (a la “Video Games” and “Carmen”) projects behind her. Perhaps the car company wanted to stay true to Lana’s music video roots.

While it’s not as thrilling as, say, riding along a winding highway in a luxury drop top, we just hope the dough our Gangsta Nancy Sinatra raked in by lending her face to Jaguar means we can expect some extra-fancy tire swings on her next video.
