It was only a matter of time before Harlem rapper and expert Internet dweller Azealia Banks joined in on the “Harlem Shake” fun, the latest meme du jour. While it’s the 30-second videos of people going H.A.M. that have captivated the web, there’s an actual song behind all this, and Banks forgoes the video meme approach to rap over Baauer‘s banger.
The booming bass and squiggly synths on the track lay a familiar foundation for Banks’ too-cool flow; the remix works so well it’s like Baauer made the song with her in mind. Check it out below.
