Frank Ocean is in England for the BRIT Awards, and Tuesday (February 19) he spoke to BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and spilled a bunch of details about his channel ORANGE follow-up, including the fact that he’s “like 10, 11 songs into this next thing.” Ocean has already hit the studio with super-producer Pharrell — who was credited on “Sweet Life” — and Odd Future cohort Tyler, the Creator, Miley Cyrus-style. He also revealed he’ll be linking up with Danger Mouse when he returns to the States.

Ocean added that the album might be a direct sequel to his debut. “It’s another cohesive thing bordering on a concept record again,” Ocean said. Speaking about “Golden Girl,” the bonus cut from channel ORANGE, Frank said, “It’s this beach scene and I kind of want to extend that feeling into the next record … I’m going to take [my recording equipment] to Bora Bora and work for a few weeks.”

After his working vacation, Ocean hopes to do some dates in the US this summer, since he never really toured heavily in support of channel ORANGE. “I do want to get out for a few months this year … I have some plans.”
