4. “Suit & Tie” — Justin Timberlake featuring Jay-Z (2013)

This left a lot of people scratching their head when it first hit radio. There’s no denying “Suit & Tie” is a good song. But was it worth the more than half-a-decade wait? Rihanna released six albums in that time! The answer, ultimately, is yes. The Timbaland-produced groove makes more sense after hearing “Mirrors.” It could almost be interpreted as a comment on the current state of popular music. By taking things back to Justified, JT is basically saying he wishes the past decade of music never happened. Oh, and it’s really catchy after the 17th or 18th listen!
