Avril Lavigne’s “Here’s To Never Growing Up”: Preview The New Single

Developmentally arrested hitmaker Avril Lavigne is gearing up for a comeback after spending the last year running her fingers through Chad Kroeger‘s lustrous mane (we kid; Lavigne’s 2011 single “Wish You Were Here” was one of the best pop tracks of the year and everybody knows it), and today she’s previewed the first snippet of an upcoming single, titled “Here’s To Never Growing Up.”

It’s one of those 15-second low-quality chucked-up-on-YouTube affairs so it’s tough to make out exactly what’s going on, but it sounds like there’s a big “I’m With You”-level chorus melody and, well, the song is called “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” which is both a nice summation of Lavigne’s personal life credo as well as one of the best bratty pop song titles since Kelly Clarkson‘s “My Life Would Suck Without You,” right?

Also, there’s something happening where fans can sign up to be in the lyric video (what does it mean to be in a lyric video, anyway?) if you do something on her Facebook page, so do that, maybe, if being in an Avril Lavigne lyric video sounds like your thing. But first, and most importantly, listen to a clip of the new tune below. (Cover artwork by Xanga, circa 2004.)
