A few weeks ahead of the release of The Postal Service‘s 10th anniversary edition of Give Up (out April 9), we’ve got the second new song from the collection. “Turn Around” delves into drug use without getting dark; the music is driving and the lyrics are uplifting (“You gotta know that this will turn around / Till then, I will not let you down / When you find your ship has run aground / You can call me, I won’t let you down”). In some alternate universe, this song served as the inspiration to Passion Pit‘s Gossamer, which depicted similar themes via similarly effervescent arrangements.

Like “A Tattered Line of String,” this new cut is high energy without being aggressive — pretty much the exact aesthetic Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello mastered ten years ago. Hear the pulsing new track over at Seattle’s 107.7 The End.
