Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Take A Picture”: Preview The Summery Crowdsourced Song

Look, here’s the cruel truth: If the world didn’t glom onto Carly Rae Jepsen‘s earth-shatteringly good “Tonight I’m Getting Over You,” then life is a mean and unjust thing, and nothing will ever be good again.

But just because the listening public has no taste (sorry) doesn’t mean that there aren’t still true lovers of finely crafted pop out there who are thirsting for some new Slayly Slae Slaysen (as she’s known around these parts), so ahoy! Here’s the first preview of her new song “Take a Picture,” which is being crowdsourced (!) through Coca-Cola (!!), because we live in the future and everything is weird.

In typical Carly Rae form, it’s a light and bouncy (one might even call it “effervescent”!! Please send us free Coke products) pop track with a catchy chorus, but then, so was “Tonight I’m Getting Over You,” and that hasn’t caught on yet. We’re excited to hear the lyrics, after the world writes them, or whatever it is that’s happening here.

Listen below.
