Tyler, The Creator’s ‘Wolf’: Stream The Full Album

Ahead of the April 2 release of Tyler, the Creator‘s Wolf, the rambunctious rapper has offered up a full stream of the album on Soundcloud. The Odd Future leader amassed a respectable roster of guests here, including fellow OFWGKTA member Frank Ocean, Erykah Badu and Pharrell. We’re still in the process of unpacking this surprisingly heavy offering, but a few things worth noting: there seem to be more tangible grooves than there were on much of Goblin. Stylistically, lyrically and emotionally it’s all over the place, but there’s an interesting interplay between some jazzy, playful arrangements and Tyler’s suffocating nihilism. Oh, and Tyler’s still really fond of using the word “fag,” possibly even more so now that he has the fallback of Frank Ocean to deflect any criticisms of homophobia.
