If you’re still tuning in to Glee each week, then you know Corey Monteith‘s character Finn Hudson recently got into hot water with Mr. Schuester for kissing the teacher’s fiance. But it seems the 30-year-old actor is taking a bit of a time-out in real life, too, as Monteith has reportedly checked in to rehab for substance abuse. (And, no — this is no April Fool’s Day joke.)

According to People, Monteith’s rep stated that the actor “has voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction. He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery.”

Monteith previously did a stint in rehab at the age of 19, People notes, which he admitted to in a 2011 interview. Lea Michele, the actor’s Glee co-star and real-life girlfriend, tells the magazine, “I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision.”

Both Monteith and Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on Glee, have starred in the award-winning Fox series since its 2009 pilot episode. Season 4 of the show wraps up in May.
