Kid Cudi Talks Focusing On His Label, Now That He’s Left G.O.O.D. Music

When Kid Cudi said he was leaving G.O.O.D. Music, he revealed that he told label head Kanye West of his desire to steer in his own direction. Cudi has since clarified what he meant by his original statement — a renewed focus on his own label Wicked Awesome, coming just a few weeks before Indicud‘s April 24 release.

Cudi has already released one album off Wicked Awesome, his 2012 collaboration with Dot Da Genius WZRDHowever, as he told Power 106’s Rikki Martinez, Cudi plans to create and release a lot more through his label: music, yes, but also movies and TV shows. When Martinez asked of Wicked Awesome’s mission statement, Cudi said: “To bring authenticity back to the forefront.”
