Nicki Minaj’s Beats By Dre Commercial Debuts: Watch
Nicki Minaj stars in a new Beats by Dre commercial, featuring a portable speaker inspired by Minaj herself. Its premise: She leaves her date (comedian DeRay Davis) alone with Beats by Dre’s new, bubblegum-pink version of the Pill. The Bluetooth speaker keeps relatively quiet as it plays Minaj’s current single “High School,” only to come alive and berate the man for texting another woman: “Keep it down? I’m a speaker, dummy!”
Fittingly, Minaj’s Beats by Dre commercial premiered during the April 10 episode of American Idol. Prior to its premiere, Barbs asked Minaj whether she’s nicknamed her speaker. Check out her responses and watch a making-of video after the jump.
