Tegan & Sara’s “I Was A Fool” Lyric Video: Watch
Tegan and Sara‘s Heartthrob is one of the only releases this year that’s still on heavy rotation for us a few months later — and standout track “I Was A Fool” is a lushly gorgeous ballad, draped in longing and regret. Now, the song has received a lyric video treatment courtesy of the sisters Quin, and while lyric videos don’t tend to be a particularly compelling affair, by and large, “I Was A Fool” succeeds where others fall flat: Not only because the song is amazing (it is!) but because the video is actually lovely and evocative, trailing a lonely girl through the city streets as Tegan and Sara perform in the background.
Now all we need is a proper music video — to cement this song’s place as one of the most exceptional efforts in their already-exceptional discography. Sigh.
