The Pussycat Dolls Get Reborn As GRL & We Will Never Be The Same

Hey, everyone! It’s a new girl group!

Oh, just kidding — it’s the same old new formation of The Pussycat Dolls (younger, sexier, less Nicole Scherzinger-ier) that have been kicking around for a few months. Now, though, they have a new name — GRL — because (as sex mogul/slavedriver Robin Antin, a vision in high-waisted stonewashed denim, explains: “There’s no “I” in “TEAM.” Also because everything is awful and embarrassing. But mostly because of the team thing.)

At any rate, the girls made an appearance at Chateau Marmont last night and gave us a little taste of what to expect from their new life, and here’s what we know:

Item! GRL is comprised of Lauren Bennett (amazing because she was once a member of Antin’s short-lived pop globalization failed experiment Paradiso Girls), Natasha Slayton (amazing because her last name contains the word “Slay”), Paula Van Oppen (amazing because she is fierce, fearless, looks like Amber Rose), Simone Battle (amazing because she released a legitimately amusing single called “He Likes Boys” after appearing on The X Factor in 2011) and Emmalynn Estrada (amazing because she is the younger sister of mediocre Canadian pop chanteuse Elise Estrada).

Item! According to Robin Antin, a highly trustworthy human with tip-top integrity, they are working with Dr. Luke on their album.

Item! They can all sing and dance. Yup. All of them.

Item! Robin Antin’s pants.

That’s pretty much all you need to know. Watch them talk, twerk, dance and eventually bore you to tears up top.
