Ibrawlator: Lana Del Rey’s “Young & Beautiful” & Adele’s “Skyfall,” Which Song Is Better?

In the past few months, two of pop’s most evocative storytellers made their way from the recording studio to the silver screen with two major soundtrack contributions: Adele and Lana Del Rey.

This week, the Born To Die chanteuse premiered her endlessly haunting, cinematic “Young & Beautiful,” the lead single from Baz Luhrmann‘s much-buzzed about Gatsby film adaptation, which has already premiered to rave reviews. And of course, Adele‘s 2012 James Bond epic theme song “Skyfall” was a critical and commercial triumph, winning the young British songstress an Academy Award for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song and a Brit Award for Best British Single.
