Kanye West Debuted New Music At The Met Gala, Including “I Am A God”: Watch

Kanye West performed at the Met Gala in New York City last night (May 6), and in keeping with the event’s punk theme, he unveiled a screamy rendition of new song “I Am a God.” While Vogue is reportedly releasing full, high quality video of the “God” performance on Friday (May 10), for now we’ll have to settle with a handful of Vines grabbed by A-Trak, actress Jaime King and model Coco Rocha, which were compiled by Complex.

As you’ll see below, Yeezy was decked out in his now-standard leather skirt, along with a sparkling shirt and mask — again, solid punk vibes. Obviously, it’s ludicrous to try to judge new music based on a few grainy, looping six-second snippets, but we’ll say this: we like the unhinged emotion in his vocals, and the new beat heard on a mystery song below seems pretty killer.
